I know you would like to go back to your daily freedom of managing your time and getting things done, but one thing is for sure, the coronavirus pandemic is here, and it’s real. The only thing you can do right now is to stay home and try to avoid public places.
So, how can you achieve this without losing your mind or even better, how can you maintain your productivity, your health and general well being?
Here are 5 things you can do to manage your time, stay healthy, and make your life a lot more meaningful during these awkward moments.
1. Develop a routine and have a daily to-do list
A proper routine enhances productivity.
It holds you accountable for your time and actions.
Making a list is true for any other day, but now that you’re home, you can’t escape the different distractions such as TV, the fridge etc. unless you write down what you want to achieve and prioritize.
In your daily routine, you can, for example, sleep and wake up at the same time, have your meals planned out, your exercise scheduled plus anything you want to be done in that particular day.
2. Get dressed each morning.
In case you have to work from home, try dressing like you were going to an actual office. I know I sound crazy right now but just try it.
Putting on your office outfit puts you in a psychological mindset to get things done than if you were to work in your pajamas.
3. Learn new things
Staying at home all day long can really get boring, especially if you’re someone that likes to hangout.
However, you can almost learn anything in different masterclasses, YouTube videos and even through reading books.
Learn to cook different meals, start a balcony garden, put together a home gym, start a blog on a topic that you’re so passionate about, work on home improvement projects etc.
And for the probiotic lovers, this is the best time to get your vegetables and kombucha fermenting.
4. Boost your immune system.
As far as the corona pandemic is involved, being in a good state of health comes a long way in ensuring you can still bounce back in case the worst happens.
Few things you can do to improve your immune system is to ensure you’re having proper nutrition, enough sleep, hydrating throughout the day, and setting time for physical exercise, and even meditation.
5. Take care of your immediate environment.
Besides staying home, hygiene is another crucial aspect in fighting against the coronavirus.
Ensure your house is well organized and clean with common areas often being disinfected.
The global fear and concern over the coronavirus are undeniable. However, you can choose to be proactive, manage your time well, and do what’s within your reach to ensure you stay healthy, spend your time wisely as well as promoting your general well being through exercise, diet, and proper nutrition.
