There are four blood types: O, A, B, and AB. They are named after antigens, a substance by which they differ from each other.

You must have heard about the diets based on blood type. Are there rules that can be used in a vegan diet? Now, let’s find out: what is recommended for you to eat as a vegan (based on your blood type), so you can provide enough amount of vitamins, protein, minerals, etc.

Blood group O

Constant physical activity and protein diets are strongly recommended for these individuals, that is, a daily diet based on meat in all forms, vegetables such as spinach, potatoes, leeks, and red peppers, is recommended. What characterizes this blood type is fast metabolism and a good immune and digestive system. If you decide to go vegan, read this shortlist of recommended foods.

Fruit – sweet fruit (figs, plums)

Vegetables – chard, broccoli, pumpkin, kale, kohlrabi, potato, onion, carrot

Cereals – pumpkin, nuts

Oils – linseed, olive

Supplements – Vitamin B, calcium, iodine

Not recommended – bread, pasta, beans, bananas.

Prohibited – Cereals

Blood Group A

People with this blood type are advised to have a diet that is in contrast to blood type 0. They are characterized by a vegetarian diet, and the only meat that is recommended is fish meat. Their nutrition should be based on white beans, soy products, tofu cheese, rice flour, ginger, garlic, apricots, lemon, cherries, and green tea. If this is your blood type, the vegan diet is highly recommended.

Fruits – pineapple, blueberries, cranberries, grapefruit, grapes, blackberries

Vegetables – chard, broccoli, pumpkin, zucchini, celery, garlic

Cereals – integral, buckwheat, soybeans and soy products

Seeds – pumpkin, peanuts

Oils – linseed, olive

Supplements – Vitamin B12, Vitamin C, E, Folic Acid

Not recommended – mushrooms, tomatoes, bananas, oranges

Blood group B

For people with this blood type, a diet based on meat is advised as these people have excellent digestive organs and therefore have a large variety of foods at their disposal including beans, cereals, most meats, broccoli, potatoes, tomatoes, cabbage, peppers, grapes, pineapple, like all healthy beverages like teas. On the other hand, they are restricted from the use of bacon, especially chicken, pork, ice cream, corn flour, black beans. If you are a vegan, just follow the advice about proper nutrition to avoid vitamin and energy loss.

Fruits – pineapple, cranberries, grapes, plums

Vegetables – broccoli, cauliflower, shiitake mushrooms, cabbage, carrots, beans, peppers

Cereals – integral bread, barley, rice

Seeds – in small quantities

Olive oil

Supplements – Magnesium

Not recommended – Large quantities of food

Blood group AB

For those with this blood type, a mixed diet is advised. What is actually recommended is precisely most types of meat, rice, cheese, sour cream, yogurt, beetroot, broccoli, cucumber, pasta, cherries, pineapple, plums, chamomile tea, green tea, and coffee. Eat as much as you can the following foods:

Fruits – apples, plums, cranberries

Vegetables – broccoli, celery, garlic, cauliflower, cucumber, beetroot

Cereals – soybeans, tofu

Seeds – peanuts, nuts

Olive oils

Supplements – C Vitamin

Not recommended – bananas, oranges, and black tea
