Spring Pea Hummus

Nothing quite says “spring is here” like the color green. Beautiful green peas can be found in many spring dishes and should not be ignored as wonderful ingredients to liven up your hummus. This hummus makes a lovely colorful addition to any charcuterie board.

1 can chickpeas, with brine
1 cup fresh or frozen (and defrosted) green peas
1 clove garlic
1 tbsp tahini
½ tsp cumin
1 tbsp fresh cilantro
1 tbsp fresh parsley
1 tbsp lemon juice
½ tsp salt, or to taste
Black pepper, a few grinds

Blend chickpeas with brine, peas, and garlic together in high-speed blender or food processor until well combined. Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth. and serve with various chips and vegetable crudité.
